Hornchurch C.C. Youth Policy

The Club seeks to actively promote the sport of cricket
locally, especially amongst young people. The Club will,
through it’s Cricket for All programme deliver youth
cricket to 7-16 year olds.


Cricket Ball   Appoint a member of the Management Committee to chair the Youth Sub-Committee,
       who will report back on youth matters to the Management of the Club.

Cricket Ball   Appoint a Head Coach to oversee the delivery of the Cricket for All programme to
       young people.

Cricket Ball   Ensure that specific times are set aside for training sessions.

Cricket Ball   Actively seek exterior funding, resource and equipment sources to ensure the delivery
       quality of youth training sessions.

Cricket Ball   Ensure that resources & funding specifically received for youth cricket is not
       subsumed or diverted into adult cricket.

Cricket Ball   Set a separate membership fee for youth members.

Cricket Ball   Arrange a series of fixtures for the various youth teams.

Cricket Ball   Ensure that young people’s learning be accredited through the Cricket for All
       programme or some similar process or procedure.

Cricket Ball   Actively seek out partnerships with other agencies that will enhance the Club’s
       delivery of service to young people.

Cricket Ball   Ensure all coaches and those administering the Club’s Cricket for All programme have
       recent CRB checks.


Youth members will be expected to:-

Cricket Ball   Work towards the Club’s Objectives.

Cricket Ball   Abide by the Club’s Code of Conduct.

Cricket Ball   Uphold the policy of Equal Opportunities as laid out in the Club’s Equity Statement.

Cricket Ball   Remember that they are ambassadors of the Club and conduct themselves accordingly.
