Hornchurch C.C. Youth Policy
The Club seeks to actively promote the sport of cricket locally, especially
amongst young people. The Club will, through itís Cricket for All
programme deliver youth cricket to 7-16 year olds.
Appoint a member of the Management Committee to chair the Youth Sub-Committee, who will report back on youth matters to the Management of the Club.
Appoint a Head Coach to oversee the delivery of the Cricket for All programme to young people.
Ensure that specific times are set aside for training sessions.
Actively seek exterior funding, resource and equipment sources to ensure the delivery quality of youth training sessions.
Ensure that resources & funding specifically received for youth cricket is not subsumed or diverted into adult cricket.
Set a separate membership fee for youth members.
Arrange a series of fixtures for the various youth teams.
Ensure that young peopleís learning be accredited through the Cricket for All Programme or some similar process or procedure.
Actively seek out partnerships with other agencies that will enhance the Clubís delivery of service to young people.
Ensure all coaches and those administering the Clubís Cricket for All Programme have recent CRB checks.
Youth members will be expected to:-
Work towards the Clubís Objectives.
Abide by the Clubís Code of Conduct.
Uphold the policy of Equal Opportunities as laid out in the Clubís Equity Statement.
Remember that they are ambassadors of the Club and conduct themselves accordingly.
